Now the question comes back to the man about faking it.

I remember being told about almost every conceivable side effect of radiation treatment. But dry orgasms were not one or gone over so quickly I did not remember.

I did not see posts about it, so I did one and boy did the posts come back with so many others with same side effect. I did go to my R/O who confirm common as the margins included (for me) the semenial vessels as well as other margins.

I empathsize with others who have experience this. It seems quite more common than I thought. That does reflect or reduce the shock when it happened to me, and others when it happens the first time.

It can also be a side effect of taking Flomax and goes back to normal after stopping Flomax. But my doctor said it is also pretty much going to happen with radiation of the whole gland and if the seminal vesicles are involved too.

I don't think it is a bad thing, just different. My wife and I actually had a good laugh over it, as in, "What? That's it?"

Yeh, I also do not remember my doctor mentioning dry orgasm as a consequence of radiation. Maybe I wasnt listening. There was so much other stuff to worry about such as potential rectal problems (which thankfully I dont have) and recurrence (again thankfully I dont have). But I'm pretty sure he didnt mention it.
