Forteo side effects of fatigue and mild confusion
I have been taking Forteo almost a month.
I have been extremely tired. Also have experienced some confusion. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same effects and if it went away after a time?

One week on tymlos. Fatigue is my most annoying side effect. I am taking the med in the evening and drinking lots of water. Hopefully my body will adjust. 8 years ago I took Forteo with no side effects
I took windyshores advice and take mine in the morning after hydrating with electrolytes. I then get up and move or go for a walk. I’ve had no problems. You may try this??
Wonder why the morning is better. So many say take at night to sleep though side effect. Any thoughts? And thank you
Oh, yah Big time lethargy. I take at night. Mornings ok.but by 2 to 3pm I am done. Ready for bed by 7! This is SO Not me! Starting month 5. It might be a little better. But Now I am bloating and gaining belly fat. Sure hope all this is helping my bones! Your not alone. We just have to think TEMPORARY.
For me, I’m not lying there thinking about how it’s affecting me. I get moving and get my mind off of it. In fact, if I just sit down for awhile I feel worse. Bottom line try both and see what works best for “you.” But definitely hydrate. Another reason I do it in the morning-I don’t want to be up peeing!
You are correct, when up doing things I feel better. When I lye down I feel the fatigue more especially in my eyes, a heaviness. I will be meeting with a new MD at Mayo with fatigue my major issue.
I started on teriparatide 5 days ago after 4 months of Tymlos with a break of 2 months in between. So far, I am having fewer side effects than Tymlos. My heart rate increases 10% for about 30 minutes then goes back down.
I took into account the recommendation here of being active after the shot and hydrating adequately. I also changed my injection time to the morning after finding a study that showed better results from injecting in the morning instead of the evening.
Hoping everything continues as it has as I get further into the treatment plan. I used to get bone pain (sharp, electric “zaps” in my extremities) on Tymlos so I am curious to see if the same happens on teriparatide.
