Any suggestions on air purifiers?

I went with the top recommendation of Wirecutter here: https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/

I have it in my living room/kitchen.

I also have this one in my bedroom: Alen BreatheSmart 45i Pure 4-Speed Ionic White HEPA Air Purifier ENERGY STAR (Covers: 1600-sq ft). Purchased it at Lowes as a quick fix when Drs thought I had ABPA (I don,t, turns out is it chronic eosinophilic pneumonia).

They recommend you change the filter every 6 months or when the indicator light goes on but we change ours every 6 weeks. If the filters are an indication, they are both working well because those filters are full of dust , etc every 6 weeks. They both work well but I like the kitchen one better as it's quieter. The one in my bedroom sounds like a jet at max speed! We have left both on 24/7 for 10 months and they are both still going strong.

Also bought a small Levoit for my office and that one isn't as effective. I wouldn't buy another one of this brand.

Hope this helps!

Be sure your duct work is clean. Had ours cleaned and now filters stay clean much longer.

Thank you!
