Colonoscopy Accuracy Question

I have colonoscopies every 12 months. I had a clear one in January 2018. My next one I delayed by a few months due to family wedding. In April 2019, my colonoscopy revealed a partially obstructing tumor in my sigmoid. It was cancer.
I had lost weight, was so tired, had back and stomach pain (I have ulcerative colitis so stomach pain isn’t unusual)
If your instinct says otherwise, ask for another colonoscopy or a ct

I am really sorry to hear about your diagnosis, can’t imagine what you must be going through. I really hope and pray it’s been caught early enough to be treated successfully? Please do let me know how you get on.
Thank you for sharing this with me, it has definitely helped me realise things can change year to year and not to always listen to “experts” who say once you’ve had a clear colonoscopy all is fine and you don’t need another one for a significant period of time!
