Breathing episode after Oxaliplatin?

Mine was an allergic reaction to the Oxaliplatin. It happened when they were doing the “push”. My airways closed up. They thought it was just a neuropathy like the cold, where its not really hurting you but feels like it is, but gave me something that opens the airways during allergic episodes anyways expecting it not to do anything. I was breathing in within seconds of the dose proving it was a reaction. Still couldn’t walk for a couple hours. Had to be flanked on either side like a drunk. This time around… oh yeah, cancer came back in my vaginal area and lymph nodes, so we are on folfiri this time. Side effects are different and hitting harder… but hopefully will kick it away for a time. Good luck with your husbands! May I ask what stage?

He's stage 4 ge-junction with metastasis to liver. He's had 2 CTs since he started infusions. Both showed liver tumors shrinking and first showed lymph nodes shrinking with 2d stable.
His primary issue has been a reaction to the nivolumab. He had itching and a rash over his ENTIRE body that is just now getting under control. Sigh!
Good luck to you
