I was the same way. Have you tried going gluten free. I'm not celiac, but I'm finding that I probably have an intolerance to gluten. Going gluten free seems to be helping me. I also take 1/2 Imodium every morning and 2 teaspoons of Heather's Acacia Fiber in the morning and again with dinner. It's a soluble fiber so it helps both constipation and diarrhea. My stools are consistently solid now and not as urgent. Just a thought.
Sounds to me like you have overflow diarrhea. watery stool leaks around a hard stool blockage in your rectum, it usually a symptom of irritable bowel syndrome. I had it myself I was going nuts how to figure out how can I have constipation one minute and then loose stools the next. The doctor diagnosed my IBS told me
Hi,
I get the same problem but get by with 3 visits within 3 hours and I usually done for the day. I have to say I don't eat very much food, not by choice but digestive constraints, which is likely why 3 times is enough for me. I have the label of "IBS" but in reality I have Autonomic polyneuropathy (ANS) which has compromised my digestive system for throat to the rear end. I have to restrict physical activity to just mild or I compound the problem regardless of any compensatory measures.
I have even gone one step further and had flow past when softer feces passes the constipated blockage not removing the blockage. Now if the stool doesn't remove within 24 hours it is time to use everything I can to get the job done. Left any longer and I can go into flow past state. Touchwood I'm managing reasonably well under the circumstances. As ANS progresses it is likely to get worse and I don't look forward to having to deal with a worse situation .
Cheers
