Is it okay to go on a long trip 12 days after robotic prostatectomy?

I had a robotic prostatectomy 12 days ago. I need to ride 600 miles. Will it be okay?

Are you having incontinence issues? That’s probably the only Issue.

I would have had no trouble doing that 12 days after my surgery.

Bring enough pads, or wear adult incontinence underwear and you should be fine.

You can buy a penis clamp, it gives a couple of hours without leaking and if you can move it around even more hours.

I use the WIESNER Incontinence Clamp, Amazon sells it for around $35. You can stay completely dry with it on. Not for the whole trip, but for being with other people and not feeling uncomfortable or worrying.

i have a question about the clip. I can stay partially dry. But I reach a limit where it doesnt seem to hold. I have tried several positions and the most aggressive attachment. I clamp all the way down and does get painful. I have noticed several say its the best one. Any suggestions.

The Weisner clamp comes with 3 different rubber pads, Small, medium and large. Depending on the girth of your penis, you pick the pad that will shut you down the most. You don’t want it to be too tight, Cutting circulation, but you can have it pretty tight, to stop leakage, and not cause issues.

Thanks for information…
Dealing with the Incontinence is worse than Biopsy & surgery combined
