@shiver Fantastic post Sharon! I happen to agree! My introduction to Mayo was for spine surgery and I was impressed with the quality of the care, expertise, and compassion I received. I was turned down by 5 surgeons locally who didn't understand what was going on, but the surgeon at Mayo did and I am forever grateful.

Hi Jennifer,
They listen to you and give you a voice in your own care. I never felt like I was being treated as a guinea pig or a number at Mayo. Not one doctor or department I was referred to for testing ignored me as a patient. When they talk to you they look at you, they hear you and they are not closed off to suggestions or questions from a patient. They truly have patient care at the top of the list.
