dorethalorraine, Bless you.

When my B12 gets low, I have symptoms of peripheral neuropathy especially at night. I'm going to see my primary doctor this week as my pain has ramped up again in my arms, hands, legs & feet when I lie down at night. I have not able to sleep well.

I will have a fasting glucose done, A1C to rule out Diabetes and my B12 levels and possibly my D3 checked. I do take a B12 supplement daily and get B12 injections.

This helps me greatly:

1) Soak in an Epsom Salt bath in the tub.
2) I put 1 Bed Buddy heat pack over each foot (Amazon has these). Don't get them too hot. I do 2 minutes in the microwave and put a towel over each heat pack.
3) I cannot take Advil or Motrin (NSAIDS), BUT, I can tolerate Voltaren Gel (Arthritis Gel) which is now sold over the counter. This is considered an NSAID gel. I have never had a reaction to it and it works much better for me than the other pain creams. I use it up to 4 times a day if needed per my doctor's recommendation.
Ask your doctor about all of these please before you try.
4) Standing for a long period of time makes my legs and feet pain worse.
5) Elevate your feet and legs when you sit down.
6) If you fly, wear support stockings.
7) Also, Plantars Fasciitis in your feet can cause them to hurt terribly. This goes and comes for me.
8) You may need to see a Podatrist or an Orthopedic doctor.
9) Get some really good support shoes. No flip flops.
10) If you can tolerate a massage, it helps greatly with foot pain.
11) Do not go bare footed. This makes foot pain worse per my Podiatrist.

Praying for you right now. New Year's Blessings to you....
