Is REMS (Echolite) availability in Greater Phoenix area?
I am learning about REMS testing and would like to know if there are any places in the greater Phoenix area where I can obtain this type of testing, specifically for the fragility of bone score.
I just watched this informative interview about this up and coming technology: https://www.youtube.com/live/v0tclg8LYAo?si=jWHkkonWpZ9f9cvC

Hi Shexy, Yes, I just learned about an upcoming REMS/Echolight that will soon be available in Scottsdale. The clinic is run by a well-trained radiologist. https://www.3dbreastultrasound.com/rems-echo-light.html?noamp. Phne 602-878-7501. I live in Tucson and plan to drive up when it becomes available in June.
Hi, I'm wondering how you found out about an upcoming REMS/Echolight. I'm looking for one in CO - what's the secret? 😉
Hi babs10, I did some research through Echolight and came upon a Senior Clinical Applications Specialist there who replied to me. Just at that time, there was the Scottsdale facility that was being trained and will start to offer REMS in June. Here is her email address: vicki.baldwin@echolightmedical.com Hope it helps for CO!
I will definitely give it a try. Thanks so much! Good work on your part!
@azhealthy Hi. Wondering if you had your Echolight test done in Scottsdale? I’m interested in getting tested. I live in the west valley.
Hi Soledad02, Yes I drove up from Tucson and had the REMS Echolight in June 2024 with Dr. Meghna Krishnan at her radiology clinic at 9300 E Raintree Dr., Suite 130 in Scottsdale. The website is 3DBreastultrasound.com. Dr. Krishnan is a very well trained radiologist, and she and her staff are well informed. I was happy to get my Fragility Scores and talked to her about the results in comparison to my DEXA results. My husband also had it done and found that his osteoarthritis was falsely elevating ("improving") his DEXA. His Fragility Scores indicated osteoporosis. I am a retired physician and appreciated Dr. Krishnan's training, knowledge, and caring manner.
For those in Colorado. I was going to fly to Scottsdale for this but found out they were going to be at OsteoStrong in April 2025 in Greeley, Co. for special day screenings. OsteoStrong also did this in Nov. 2024 in Denver but I found out too late.
OsteoStrong Greeley phone# if you want to get your name on the list:970-301-4959 You do not have to be a member.
There will be a REMS event where you can get your REMS test on January 11 in Lutz Florida. You can call Krystina from Screen My Bones at 305-998-6008 to reserve your test. I am not sure of the cost.

They have weekly REMS scans at the Osteostrongs in Arcadia and Scottsdale McCormick Ranch.
I had a scan done in Arcadia in 2024, and I felt it was worth the $200+ to have an extra piece of information.
It was fairly easy and quick, and I would repeat sometime in the future. They use a portable (suitcase) REMS scanner.
