@dorma: Hate to say this but I am in an identical situation! Mine started about 2months ago while doing a mild stretch in my 2x week yoga class. Pain progressed to where you are now… can’t take more than 10 steps without doubling over with pain (right side). Like you I am desperate for a light at the end of this black tunnel! I feel there is an answer out there… please help us! Bette

My MRI showed my sciatica was due to spine pinching nerve to leg and toes. Could not have fusion due to Osteospirosis. After 2 years of misery ( pain meds, epidurals) they did a laminectomy ( small carving out around spine where the nerve comes out. I had to find a Neurologist . Traveled 5 hours away to have surgery. Out of Hospital one day immediately had relief. I know the pain and hopeless feelings you have. Fight for the right Dr. I went Through 4!
God bless

I spent 7 years looking for the answer to my prays. I had chronic pain 24-7. I couldn’t sit in one position for more than a couple minutes. At that I was always in motion. I was referred to Arizona Pain Doctors. A miracle in that I can do about everything now.
I will hurt in lower back if I overdue it but that will be taken care of as soon as I am done at the Mayo.
Oh, there was no pain and no surgery involved.
