I thought it might be low oxygen to my skin . The stream from the shower might put enuf pressure on the skin to push oxygen away. That might be what your doc called contact reaction . However , I do recommend that ointment . It is kind of greasy. I hope we get more comments. My doc just looks confused when I tell her about it . Of course I am not peeling when I see her . I put a heat pad on my back for lung pain last night . It caused me the worst itching. I ‘m watching it today to see what more it might do . Thanks for your comments . Blessed Be, Crystal

Please, please be careful using heating pads especially if you are having skin issues and particularly when if using on your back you can't monitor the appearance of the skin! You can sustain serious burns to the back doing that. I use "Medline Remedy Skin Repair with Olivamine.
