Thank you for the info. I did try Verzenio first and got really bad side effects - ended up on other meds a month trying to get past those. I know Kasqali has side effects too, but so far (second 3 week dose just started), I am tolerating those better. The HER2 + infusions I get every 3 weeks did cause heart function issues, but started on two heart pills week of Thanksgiving and echo test last week showed no lessening function with those- so going to try and get through the 54 weeks for infusion- taking the heart meds and getting echo tests 6-8 weeks as we go- I get ekg tests for Kasqali and biweekly labs also for those- labs today. I am hoping to be able to hold steady and keep moving forward- I hope your journey also holds steady and you endure the treatment plan you are on. My prayers are with you!!

@ksmiley70 It sounds like you are moving forward with grit and grace. Your multidisciplinary medical team sounds solid. Have you explored any virtual breast cancer support groups? I have found these to be helpful. We have a Gilda’s Club in my city, and I’ve joined virtually a few times just to listen. I also accidentally joined one of the Mayo breast cancer support calls, not realizing it was only for Mayo patients. Lol. But they were awesome and we had a good visit.

I am thinking of you…. And I’m sure many others are, too. It’s a hard journey. Remember “your why” (why you want to move forward) when the treatment is hard.

Hugs to you.
