For those who talked about their experience using Lyderm gel on OLP hot spots or flares. I had my first cleaning with the new periodontist today. I asked him about Lyderm gel. He said it is "same or like Lydex, can use my clobetasol gel." I'll give it a try. Faye

@fdixon63 I use Clobetasol ointment for lichen sclerosis so … I guess it could work for oral lichen planus although I would imagine the Lyderm gel would feel better in the mouth as opposed to Clobetasol ointment, but your periodontist should know.

I still would double check with your pharmacist as to which one would be more effective. Pharmacists know more about medications and medicating than doctors.
