To PositiveThinking,

I came done with BE over 15 years ago. My Pulmonologist never indicated that I needed treatment and so whatever damage was going on went on with very little symptoms until 2922 when I was diagnosed with MAC 6/22 and put on the Big 3 and in 2023, it was recommended that I nebulize with 3% Hypotonic Saline and was given a nebulizer by the Pulmonary NP which was the Phillips Respironics
and quite frankly has been very sturdy and does not show any wear and tear because of the Saline. The first one lasted 2 years before it died. I purchased another and is still going strong more than two years.....and I'm not very gentle but it holds up and does job. Good luck with all.

I have been happy with the Phillips Respironics machine and I agree that it is sturdy. I have not experienced any problem with using the sodium chloride with this machine. The problem is that even if I wanted to just purchase another Respironics I can’t because I have been told that it has been discontinued. I was told this by the Phillips manufacturer. So now it looks like I have to try a nebulizer made by a different company. I’m glad you haven’t had any problems with yours. If it wasn’t for the sudden loudness when I use my machine I would not be looking for another one. I’m just afraid that this is an indicator that one day I will turn it on and it will not work.
