@beebe This is bad news and something you don't want to discover on your own. That must have been quite a shock to you.

I read in another discussion that you saw your results on Dec 20 which was the same day as the biopsy. You haven't heard from your provider who performed the biopsy. This is inexcusable. It once happened to me over a July 4 holiday and even though my results were negative (breast biopsy) I was very upset to hear nothing back for over a week. The provider may or may not be away but someone else in that practice should have been in contact with you for next steps. On the other Discussion you wrote that you did self refer and have a phone appointment on January 6.

Will you let me know how the January 6 phone appointment goes and if and when you have appointments scheduled at Mayo?

Helen, I just read the results this morning as I was searching for information on my last colonoscopy, the providers website never notified me of new lab results being posted. It was a bit shocking to read the results for sure. If the Mayo clinic wants to schedule me too far out I will go with a local Onocologist, Dr. Joseph Buscema, who is well respected. I read that serous carcinoma spreads quickly like ovarian cancer does so I won't be waiting around if I can help it
