Since my lumpectomies and 6 node removals in Sept. ,I have had a reoccurring pain in my shoulder , that comes and goes and last for days. Is this normal?

I did not have any shoulder pain, but a friend in my cancer group did and the thoughts were that is was a compensatory posture injury from protection posture. Her oncologist said it is common that you might think.
I don’t know if this is what is happening with you or not, but I have found after years of damage to my chest, I have a protective posture can that can hurt me a bit at times.
Have you mentioned this to your doctor? Did they have any thoughts about why this would be painful?
I had lumpectomy and three sentinel nodes removed three years ago. There was nerve damage and after a year I started having arthritic pain in the shoulder but it eventually went away. Now I’m dealing with general soreness and limited mobility. I’m doing lots of stretching. I’ve read that shoulder issues are common after lymph node removal.
I have'nt seen my doc yet since the issue arose, but I will speak to her soon. Thanks for the info.
