I don't know anything about you other than what you report. I believe your dose of amiodarone is reasonable for a maintenance dose, going by my own very short term exposure to the drug (a total of 8 weeks). I also take 40 mg of atorvastatin daily, and no problems there. I had not heard of dabigatran, but it is a form of blood thinner, according to my very quick search.

Amiodarone is a toxic drug over time, but it's considered safe for long periods with monitoring. Have you been monitored for toxicity?

Some people do well on one drug of a type, but are sensitive to others of that same type of drug. Perhaps you are not doing well, maybe your kidneys aren't (?) on the dabigatran....? There are other daily oral anti-coagulants...maybe you have already tried them and they didn't agree with you...not sure.

Since you are concerned about the blood, and your care givers are not, would it hurt to seek a third or fourth opinion. A nephrologist might want to take a look at your kidney chemistry to see if you should stop something or begin taking something. It's worth a shot, no?
