I did not feel totally exhausted, but very weak. In my exercise classes, I was at a fraction of previous level - forget jumping jacks, for example. And I could not pick up my 3 yr old grand-daugher or sit with her on the floor and get myself up. It was mostly muscle weakness and lots of pain. A lot of that function is returning - I can do jumping jacks again and lift my grandkids. I can get them out of the carseats - my fingers just could not do that on statins.
I can screw the tops off water bottles where I was using a device to do that. So many quality of life things. I went on like this for 2 years until I told my docs they could give me permission to go off or I would just be a non-compliant patient. We sometimes have to advocate for ourselves. So my LDL is back up - and they are not happy. And I will try Zetia and maybe Repatha, but I will never go 2 years with bad side effects and just put up with it. Everyone reacts differently to meds. Your concerns are valid.

Thanks for your post. Do you have atherosclerosis? The reason I am trying to cope with statins is because I have some build up in arteries. I would not be taking statins just for high LDL, as this can be hereditary and relatively harmless.
