I would agree that it ultimately makes no difference. However, the ultra sensitive test gives you a heads up if something is happening that will probably require further treatment. Post RP, my first 2 readings were undetectable < .008. However, as my PSA slowly began to rise my urologist referred me to an oncologist when it was approaching .100. To me the ultra sensitive PSA is like an early warning system and allows you to begin researching the next stage of your journey. This led to a PSMA-PET scan in January 2022, followed by two injections of Zoladex and salvage radiation in the summer of 2022. Post radiation my quarterly PSA continues to read < .008.

Agree 100% with you, especially if there is action that can/should be taken at low numerical increases.

Agree. UPSA gives them a heads up. Helps them gauge the velocity of the increase early.
