That’s great news. I also have multiple tumors on my liver..I had my first treatment of Lutathera 2 weeks ago…
I was tested for histotripsy by Dr Silk at NYU Langone for my 3mm liver tumor that appeared after whipple april 2023. It was too small for him to see but he had done about 100 histotripsy procedures for liver tumors . NYU Langone now have a test going on to use it for Kidneys. Apparently it can work to eliminate tumors in any soft organ but the FDA has only approved the procedure for the liver
In May of 2024 I had 5 tumors worked on (in my liver) (I was told that I was 3rd in the world to have this done. It was by Dr. Ong out of Swedish Hosp. in Seattle. It worked somewhat, but I still need to continue my other treatments. They were hoping for the Abscopal effect, but that is rare.
They prefer to work on smaller-sized tumors and, although I had 5 done, that is unusual. As this is so new, they are discovering more about Histotripsy as they go along. Mine was in the liver and they are hoping to be able to work on more organs.

@glynkoko, any update on your pathology report? How are you doing?

Hi Colleen — good news and slightly less good news. My primary GI NET and 5/21 positive lymph nodes were grade 1 with a ki-67< 3%. However I had a “distant” micro met that was encapsulated in my umbilical hernia which puts me at Stage IV. My recovery is going well and I feel much better than I did before surgery. I have an oncology appt in a couple of weeks and I’m hoping to find a preventative somatostatin trial that can delay the onset of further mets. I’d welcome any advice!
Thanks
@hrvy, how are you doing?
