Trimix injection good or bad idea?

Posted by jasonfarmer @jasonfarmer, Sep 17, 2023

59 years old. prostatectomy just over 3 months ago. Take daily 5mg tadalafil or 100mg sildenafil before intercourse . Successful only 2 times without vac pump. I am considering Trimix injections just not sure when or if I should. I would appreciate some insight from men who have used and when they started. No other treatments for cancer needed. Presently cancer free. 0 psa 2 blood test so far. I am thankful for what I have just want the best I can achieve. Thank you for any shared experiences good or bad.

I'm surprised at the hesitancy people are identifying. I had been using increasing doses of Cialis and Viagra, but they started working less well.

Two days ago I finished the month-long titration to get the right dose. Last night my partner and I used it for the first time with TriMix.

Wow! She was amazed at my erection, and we had slow, close, intimate foreplay and sex like we used to do more. With no danger of losing an erection, we were able to switch up positions more, and didn't have to race to keep from losing an erection.

As for spontaneity, it literally takes under 5 minutes to fill the syringe, inject it, and get hard. Yes, it takes some negotiation but nothing an adult couple shouldn't be able to do together.

As for the sex, it was one of the best rounds I have had in my lifetime. I felt more studly that a 20 year-old kid. And the orgasm was amazing. As I said, we had very slow sex, and it was great! It went so well my partner is totally intrigued by it, and asking for more already.

The only downside I see (aside from things like needlephobia) it's that I stay hard for over an hour and am ready for more sex - like I did in college - but that would wear my partner out.

I have been using Trimix for about 3 months. I was experiencing increasingly worsening ED symptoms. None of the pills were working for me at all. I heard about Trimix and went to see a specialist about it. He prescribed it and was very patient in showing both me and my wife how to administer it. In his office he had me try a very low dose just to see 1. if it would work on me, 2. how effective it would be. They start with a low dose to help determine the optimal dosage for me.

The Pain: I think the thing that all men want to know is... Will it hurt. Short answer, no it does not. It's kind of a mental thing, but once you get past the idea of sticking a needle into the penis, it really doesn't hurt at all.

The Effect: After injecting, and massaging the mixture in the effect (for me) takes about 5 or 10 minutes to set in. I am 65 but my erection (so says my wife) is reminiscent of my 35 or 40 year old erection. For me the effect of the Trimix lasts for about an hour, perhaps a little longer. (your mileage may vary) To answer the question... Yes I still have a fully functional erection after ejaculation.

How long does the Trimix last? The first vial remained fully effective in the refrigerator for about a month and a half. After that I noticed that it still worked however the erection was not as firm and only lasted about 45 minutes. (good enough!!!)

After not having a useful erection for several years I started losing self-confidence and I fully believe that is a contributing factor. The Trimix has helped with my confidence. Not having to worry about not getting and erection and not being able to indulge in intercourse has been huge. If you are struggling with ED and have been looking for options I would recommend Trimix, it has helped restore many aspects of my life.

You might try keeping your Trimix in the freezer. It lasts me much longer frozen without the decay. It doesn't take very long in the fridge or countertop to thaw.

They now have a tri-mix gel. Has anyone tried that?

REPLY

Take it that the gel is applied so no need for an injection?
Will Google it.
Thanks.

Trimix is wow. Have you tried it yet? I still feel like it's Viagra on meth. My dose settled in around .11 and has been consistently effective now for 9 months or so.

@retireddoc

It feels like just a tiny prick (sorry for the pun) and the injection takes a few seconds. The thought of it is far worse than the reality.

The results far outweigh the poke, so it surprises me that anyone would ever go back to other options that just don't work.

Had RP back in Feb 2024, 56 yrs. Have been using Trimix since July as Cialis did nothing for my ED. Started with the “standard strength mix” that was not as effective as the Dr. said if I went beyond 50 units he would change the prescription to the “higher strength” this has been working much better since August as it only takes 10 unit shots. The question is my erection although it does not stay hard for more than 1 hr., my penis is sore for several hours. As well it’s somewhat painful for days after. Is this normal? All of the readings and articles mention possible infections, scaring and even at times allergic reaction. Is this my issue or is it normal part of the medication use and the marketers are downplaying the discomfort side effects. This is not an issue of mis-injection site as well I switch sides every time and keep a log. Welcome the response of actual users of Trimix!

Agree that Trimix has been the solution for my ED post RP. Pumps and standard ED meds didn’t work, the discomfort of injecting your penis does not outweigh the satisfaction of getting an erection!

I too have experienced several hours of discomfort following Trimix use. It got worse when I changed from Trimix #8 to #9. It is known that the Alprostadil component of the mixture can cause achiness in 20% of men. Alternatives are low-Alprostadil Trimix and Bimix. I am awaiting a prescription from my urologist for one of these alternative compounds, so I cannot yet speak to their effectiveness.
