Best Choice when Gabapentin is fading?

3600 mg isn't the absolute max dose of Gabapentin. I've had doctors say it's side effect dependent. I knew of a guy taking 7200 mg. with no side effects.
Lyrica may be an good option. Neither on helped me.
What is you physician recommending?

My Dr says 2700mg is all he recommends I don't get too many side effects ,,dry mouth ..but I drink a lot of water keep a bottle by bed
May try pregabalin
A nurse from a pain clinic said Cymbalta is slow but sure after a couple months and works for decades
She works with a lot of veterans she said
