You see an Ear Nose Throat doctor to scope thru your nose and down your throat. It's a very thin instrument, no sedation. Dr. Jamie Koufman, an ENT, has a lot of free information on her web site about silent reflux and treatments. Treating the condition via diet can be challenging depending on your likes. There are non acidic versions of coffee, according to my friend who has found some. There is a FB page that has a ton of recipes and advice on what to eat and drink based on what another ENT, Dr. Jonathan Aviv, has said. Acidwatcher Diet Warriors Support Group. If you can do the low acid, whole food diet for 30 days without cheating you may be more motivated to keep going because you will start to feel better.

Thank you so much for these recommendations. There is so much great information on Dr. Jamie Koufman's website.

Today I had an additional issue. I developed a rash of red dots on my neck and my throat is hurting more. I don't have a fever and the issues might be totally unrelated (the red dots could be some form of contact dermatitis) but I am wondering if possibly I could have strep throat or an overgrowth of yeast or some sort of infection. Any thoughts?
