I went through the same except I was almost bedridden after 6 months taking statins, any kind, any dose. I got back to normal, Phew, I was afraid the side effects might be permanent, but it took a few months. A few years later the doctor convinced me to take Repatha. Also, extreme side effects again. After about 6 months I was ceasing activities like yoga and walking. No good. I quit Repatha. It took about two months as well to recover.

That is a shame. So sorry. Are your LDL levels really high? What is your total number? I was at 296 when everyone panicked. I sought out a cardiology consult and passed all tests - calcium score of 0, no blockages, blood pressure under control with meds, no diabetes or smoking...
On statins, I was down to high 190's/low 200's/ LDL 85-90, but after a 2 month break, back to 274 total, LDL 165. Cardiologist wants that number down. I'm putting off the Zetia day by day, but I will try it. I just won't tolerate the side effects for years, hoping they would go away. He agreed. Repatha would be the last option.
