Pray for help

Posted by jriemer @jriemer, Dec 27, 2024

I pray a lot. I talk to God as a friend. I share my pain issues. I ask for help. If you believe in JESUS CHRIST as your savior you should receive help. I do. Help comes for my pain; not usually fast but it comes sometimes in surprisingly unexpected ways. Give prayer a chance and report back to us. Jeff

While I totally respect your beliefs, it is not without reason that you remember that "God helps those who help themselves." It is not Biblical but there are references in the Bible to putting action behind your prayers. Seek a good physician, do research and take into consideration what can be done to alleviate your pain. I wish you good luck; nobody should ever minimize what it is like to live with chronic pain!

I have been under doctor’s care since the late 1990’s for pain issues stemming from diabetic neuropathy. For me prayer is a recent addition. But thank you for your thoughts. Jeff

I lean on Jesus every day and I know He is with me through my suffering. He gives me strength and hope.

I love the Lord and pray daily. We are in a Jubilee year, which only comes once every 25 years. This is the Jubilee Year of Hope! God Bless you all.

My pain is constant, managed by a physician; however what years of pain has done for or to me is to seek help from all sources that includes non-prescribed medicines and prayers. My belief is prayer is less thoughtful of when there is less pain, on the other hand prayer is much more thoughtful with pain. So, yes I believe in the Christain faith and prayer has been my mental and physical relief. Further, I understand the original message. Amen and Amen.

A few years ago I sent my medical records to the Mayo Clinic for evaluation and to request an appointment. I was denied. They told me I had done all that they could do. I felt like I had been kicked in the belly; hopeless. Jeff

I am praying everyday for my husband. God has helped me to calm down….I was so anxious and worried…and leave it all in His Hands.
These are scripture verses that I say everyday:
Do not fear for I am with you do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:10

The Lord nurses them when they are sick and restores them to health. Psalm 41:3
Each time He said My Grace is all you need…for my power works best when you are weak. Paul’s 2nd letter to the Corinthians 12:9

You Lord will keep in perfect peace all who put their trust in You. Fix your thoughts on God. Isaiah 26:3
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for You Lord are close …right beside me. Your rod and staff Protect and Comfort me. Psalm of David 23:4
God Heals in many ways…one is through medical science…to bring about your restoration and recovery.
When the surgeon is operating …it is really Gods hands that are holding the instruments and giving the surgeon wisdom and knowledge.
God is called Jehovah Rapha= The God who heals you.
Proverbs 4:20-22…Read Gods words…memorize them…For they are Life to those that find them, and Health to all their flesh.
John 14:6 I Am the Way The Truth and The Life.
James wrote: Confess your faults to one another & Pray for one another Than You May Be Healed. ….So many promises , we can say out loud IJN .
I pray that my husband is healed for the Glory of God…that my husband can give His testimony to all and tell how God healed him….through whatever means God chooses to heal him.
I have to keep reminding myself that my husband is a child of God…he was created by God and therefore, God knows him inside and outside. He does not belong to me. He belongs to God only. But God will show mercy if we humbly ask him….because we are not worthy of anything…but through the power of the Holy Spirit and the Blood of Jesus Christ we may Bind the spirit of Disease…Cancer…in Jesus Name…my Lord and Saviour, My Refuge and Tower in which we go in times of trouble.
