I have had 3 back surgeries. I live in constant pain in thoracic area. I have had T3 thro L3 fused. Doctor suggest removing hardware. Did you remove hardware and are you pain free ? Was recovery rough?

@lucille409 I'm sorry you are is so much pain. All surgeries create scar tissue which gets tight and can pull on muscles and nerves creating pain. If you go through another big surgery, it creates more scar tissue. What if you could relieve some pain and avoid another surgery?

You might be interested in trying some physical therapy to loosen the tight scar tissue called Myofascial Release to see if you can relieve some of the pain. Here is a discussion where you can learn more. I have done this a lot and benefited. There is a provider search at http://mfrtherapists.com/
