Osteoporosis and lower back pain
Hi everyone and thank you for taking time to read my post. I am 58 and healthy- retired teacher and now teach 3 days Reading Intervention. Here is my issue- I have severe osteoporosis and, to be honest, I’m scared. My hips are mild to moderate but my spine is in the range 3.2 to 3.4. I love my doctor and trust him completely. His plan is to start Evenity then Prolia. Can someone share experience with pain? My lower back hurts off and on all day but worse in the mornings. Thank you all so much.

I agree -sugar and flour is like throwing grit in a machine. Sugar also feeds cancer cells. The best thing you can do is remove these two things 1st! Esp. If you suffer from bloating, fatigue, constipation and/or headaches.
Then get away from processed foods. Unprocessed whole natural foods and lots of color will support your bodies needs. No need to “diet” just eat fresh with lots of variety.
Muchas gracias por compartir su experiencia.
Tengo 59 años y me acaban de detectar osteoporosis. T -3,7.
No quiero tomar medicación. Solo vitamina D3, ya que la tengo muy baja y empezar con un plan de entrenamiento con peso, además de caminatas y pilates.
Mañana veré a mi endocrina, para comprobar los resultados de las últimas pruebas.
Gracias por compartir

@foreseta
Just a quick comment. Take the combo d3 k2 instead of
D3 alone and make sure your supplements are from a reputable source .

Merci Marie.
La D3 je l'achète en pharmacie (Kern Pharma) et j'ai la K2 achetée chez WeightWorld.
Pensez-vous que c'est bien?
Je vous remercie par avance.

I too recommend. Mccormick bk. I have spine issues. After seeing his pros and cons for meds and talking to him, I chose Forteo or Tymlos. And will follow up with a recast. (I don't have a Dr. I am confident with)
Wish you the best
One thing to keep in mind is that you can have back issues apart from osteoporosis.
So back pain may or may not be related to osteoporosis
Exactly. For instance I have osteoporosis and spinal stenosis, disc degeneration and spondylolisthesis. I am 76.
So with osteoporosis there’s no pain?
The most common symptom of osteoporosis... unfortunately...is fracture and that I have heard is extremely painful. Fortunately I have never had a fracture. I learned I had osteoporosis when my doctor asked me to have a dexa scan.
