Tooth pain and Neuropathy

I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy a few years ago. I don’t have tooth pain (thank goodness) but I’ve had tongue and mouth pain for years, sometimes with small blisters and sores. I saw an ENT when there was a discussion about doing a tongue biopsy for Sjögren’s syndrome. That didn’t happen, but he confirmed that I was not making enough saliva. He prescribed Pilocarpine 5 mg three times per day prn. I actually saw him before my SFN diagnosis, so I’ve been taking the Pilocarpine for 3-4 years.
I’m telling this rambling story in case there might be some dry mouth issues contributing to tooth pain. I had years of dry mouth issues to report to him, and he confirmed decreased saliva by pressing on my salivary glands. He was much more helpful than my dentist.

I appreciate your information. I've been to an ENT about my dry mouth (I'm down one salivary glad since I was 13). It all seemed like Sjorgren's but that biopsy (I thought it was in the lower lip?) put me off. I will look into Pilocarpine.

I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy in 2004 and in the past few years it started affecting my hands and arms. In 2017 I started having dental pain affecting all my teeth, starting after I ate. Initially my teeth would ache for an hour or so after eating. Then they started to sting. Now different teeth sting and often this isn't after eating or drinking. One orthodontist said I might need to have root canals done in most of my teeth! I had one unneccessary one done years ago without resolving the pain in that tooth.
So finally I am asking if anyone has a similar symptom with their neuropathy. I don't have the best teeth but I do take care of them and visit the dentist as directed so no uncared for issues and no one seems to know what this is about - dentist or physician.

Hello, I have been experiencing nerve pain jn my teeth for 18 years now and cannot get a diagnosis. It started with teeth sensitivity and in a few months the nerves of my teeth feel like they are on fire! My tongue burns too. The pain is like a searing, stinging and numbing pain. I can't seem to get any relief. A few years later I began to experience neuropathy in my feet and more recently, in my hands. As a matter of fact, when I hold my cellphone or touch the mouse on my computer, my hands burn.
I've seen over 40 doctors, dentists, neurologists, internists, homepathic, integrative physicians and even seen physicians from the Mayo Clinic. The only confirmed diagnosis is lyme disease and EPV. I've spent thousands of dollars on treatments over the years and still I am in constant pain. I had to quit my job and move in with my elderly father. There has to be a way to get answers and more importantly, some relief.
Can anyone help me?

@spicegirl3 I have also had pain in my jaw and teeth, and that seems to be coming from my neck and tight shoulders exerting pressure through my jaw. I have worked with a physical therapist on it. You can have tight facsial tissue that exerts pressure on your body. MFR (myofascial release )is a way to loosen that tissue, release the compression and ease the pain. Here is our discussion.

I only recently linked my jaw pain and nerve pain in my teeth to my small fiber neuropathy. I think I had 2 unnecessary root canals. I am seeing the dentist tomorrow (again) just to make sure there is no infection in those teeth because one tooth cracked and became infected and it was missed. I tried to have an implant, but the bone graft would not take. I will have off and on nerve pain in teeth and jaws, not constant.
