Hi Maieva,

My wife age 72 is having similar pain problems, many injections, back surgery on L5-S1 in 2019, still no relief. She is scheduled for the Intracept procedure in January. Can you tell us if you had the procedure and if it helped? Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi Chris.
Well I wish I could say it took away all my pain, but I’m going on 1 month after the procedure and I still get the sharp pain if I bend the wrong way. I think the constant lower back pain is a little better, but I was so hoping for a better result. I have heard that it can take up to six months for some people. The procedure itself is very easy and since Medicare covers it, I am glad your wife is getting it. She might be one of the lucky ones who get complete relief. I hope so. I’m so new to this problem that I’m still trying to wrap my head around not being able to do what I used too. Not fun.

I was in the process of ablation too, but had to stop due to other health issues. I’m now scheduled for January 6, so I’m hoping it helps. I can no longer do the things that I enjoy, and praying I can get back to them soon, merry Christmas everyone!
