@annar being sick in a variety of ways is experienced by 40% of people who do Reclast, I have read ("Great Bones" by McCormick). You are still within the timelime for that "acute phase reaction." I had a fever and was in bed for a week or more.

This is unlikely to happen again.

If you are still having severe symptoms from Reclast in a month or so, let us know! Sorry your acute phase reaction is so difficult.

One suggestion: Low sodium V-8 is very rich in potassium. I take that, magnesium, calcium and Vitamin D3. My challenge is hydrating. If you can do it, that helps too.

I have several spinal fractures and they are most certainly life-altering and potentially life- threatening. They affect my GI, heart, lungs. Lots of pain and disability. If others have osteoporosis that is less severe, there may be other options to consider but meds are a necessity for some on this forum!

I’m sorry to hear that you also suffered. Luckily for me they found no spinal fractures and for that I am grateful. And while I understand drugs are necessary for many things we go through as human beings and we are lucky to have the options modern medicine has to offer. I feel that we as patients are sometimes ill informed of all possible side effects. I wish you the best on your journey.

I also forgot to mention that I am someone who did much research before choosing this option and did not find anything in how terrible the effects can be for some.
