You should definitely go to a neurosurgeon, orthopedic spine specialist and neurologist to review all history of imaging since the accident. Did you go to the hospital after the accident or file a police report at all after the accident? Do you have the information from the driver of the semi truck or pictures of the license plate? You would have a medial injury claim against that drivers insurance and if he drove for a company, you could get an accident/injury attorney to cover all medical costs and impact to future ability to work/disability.

Do you have family that could help you work through this? You have some serious injury, in my opinion, and if I was your mother I would be all over this case to help you navigate the complex medial system and legal accident claim.

I went to the hospital later, when I began having the symptoms interfering with my life greatly. I was on the way to work during the accident, so I didn't want to lose my job and continued to work, and thought I would be fine. Never filed a police report, I do have all the drivers information (drivers license picture, phone number, license plate, DOT number/company, etc). I tried one large firm but my case wasn't accepted, I might try again somewhere else, but its difficult since I didn't have much support.

Unfortunately my family doesn't really care or believe me, I am not supported by them. I have brought up disability when I was at my worst, and potentially suing, but it didn't concern them. I do have the support of my boyfriend who understands my situation (as best he can), however. Or else I would definitely need to try for disability since I can't hold a job like this, and even then I doubt I would qualify. But I am still planning on trying to start school this spring and don't want to go that route unless I have no other choice. I tried a large firm for suing the company but my case was denied, I might try again somewhere else but I was hoping to get a clear diagnosis first too, which it seems like isn't going to happen anytime soon.
