The American Lung Association joined many other organizations in signing a statement recommending against stem cell therapy for COPD. The concerns of these groups include:
cost
potential for harm
lack of evidence that the therapy is beneficial to humans

However there is a good explanation of stem cell treatment here. The stress it is a treatment, not a cure for COPD

Some studies suggest that ELOM-080, a phytomedicine, has shown efficacy in reducing exacerbations in chronic bronchitis and COPD patients.

In November 2024, a study found that a single dose of benralizumab administered during acute exacerbations of asthma or COPD was more effective than standard steroid tablets. The trial reported a 30% reduction in the need for additional treatment and hospitalizations, suggesting potential benefits in acute settings.

Regulatory Status: As of now, benralizumab is not approved for COPD treatment. Its use remains off-label, and further research is needed to establish its safety and efficacy in COPD patients.

Intravenous Laser Therapy lacks strong scientific support for COPD and should be approached with caution.

This article reviews different types of treatment for COPD

The other thing that may help is if you do a search for current/upcoming medical trials, that way you get the new medications before they are widely released.
