I have been on Celexa for over ten years and all of a sudden it seemed like it wasn’t working. I was having panic attacks, crying many times a day. We tried increasing the Celexa but that didn’t do anything. I hope you are able to get some relief from your anxiety. This is so difficult. Good luck.

I have ptsd. At the time I was getting therapy as well for increased symptoms due to many issues I was dealing with. Medicare advantage issues financial issues my father etc. The duloxetine along with all this was making me worse. Insomnia hopelessness fear despair bad constipation. My blood pressure shot up. In fight flight fear fawn - the 4 stages of ptsd your body and brain can go through- chemicals like dopamine nor epinephrine cortisol are released in excessive amounts. I discussed these issues with my psychiatrist and we switched to escitalopram 10mg. I am a retired nurse was RN so I have a bias about medication. The lowest dose for the shortest amount of time. I do not believe this is now a part of care unless you advocate for yourself. In my case it worked. I also worked on a plan of stressor resolution for the issues I mentioned. My father and I rarely speak now and only by email. He is not a safe person nor does respect anyone else's boundaries. On January 1 will be in origional medicare. Had to work on finances almost daily but it was worth it. I do not know if this helps. With SSRIs and SNRIs everyone responds differently. In my case I have to manage and set limits with the overwhelming onslaught of stress and negativity our society has normalized.
