Yes, about 30 years ago we had to give up our beloved down comforters - we actually found some synthetic ones that were close, but over time I felt, even with covers, they also were dust/dander repositories. We now use lightweight fleece blankets that are washed and dried every 2 weeks, topped by 100% cotton (incl batting) quilts in cold weather.

Sue- My first thought with reading your post about my favorite type of pillow, down feathers, and knowing all you have posted about what changes you have made due to BE/MAC etc. etc.....you..,.as well as Linda Espisito, have made a "brick house", as she calls it. I see I have a long way to go to do that. So far no allergies just our mutual BE and MAI for me.
Thankful that overall I feel well and can do my therapy with no problem.
