Hello @windyshores ,
Today I am in more pain than ever. My old endocrinologist finally agreed stopping Evenity and starting Tymlos. My fear is that Tymlos is giving headaches and I already have them probably from Tramadol ( it could be Evenity too). Did you have a headache while on Tymlos? Suddenly my teeth and jaw bone hurts too. I hope this is not one side effects while on Tymlos. The most I afraid more back pain even I can’t imagine to have more than I have already. I am so lost and afraid to make a mistake going on Tymlos . Besides my doctor wants me to start right away and I been reading that I should wait for two months. It’s very hard to make decision on my own. I need your help and maybe some others want to express opinions. Especially those who used Evenity and Tymlos after. Thank you.

@sunny65 I am so sorry you are in pain. So you have not started Tymlos?

I got a headache on Tymlos in the morning, when I took it at night. I switched to morning shots and had no headaches. Everyone is different. Of course as you know I also did a lower dose after trying a full dose and moved the dose up slowly (the pen has clicks to measure dosing) and never actually took a full dose.

I don't think there is much research on Tymlos after Evenity. The two meds have totally different mechanisms. Some of us have posted about waiting a month or two between Evenity and Reclast (they are both anti-resorptive at that point).

I would ask your doctor if Tymlos a month after your last Evenity is the best timing. I don't think anyone knows as yet. It is possible either one month or two will be okay.

It is hard that we don't have enough research yet. Evenity came out in 2019 and it may take awhile before we know anything for sure. Perhaps your doctor has access to studies that are ongoing.
