Can opioids cover up stomach digestive issues? Or nerve bundle pain from MALS? Or will it mainly work for surgery issues like incision and all the rest that was compromised internally.

Yes they can. Most definitely. Have done that to me. Have you seen or spoken to gi dr?

I’m on the fence about getting mals surgery and need advice from anyone. I have burning and upper gnawing pain sometimes squeezing. It’s hard to tell the difference between gi and mals. Did you guys do it laproacopic or open ? I will need mine laparoscopic because of other issues ni have Eds and am on immunosuppressants and have had c diff so have to lower my chances of infection and antibiotics.

@hansenshorses
Opioides can lessen any pain- I have gotten that for other GI pain too.
I had laparoscopic surgery- I think that’s preferable to open surgery. Recovery is faster.
Is the pain worse after meals?
I had excruciating pain shortly after meals. I would say it was squeezing.
