I’ve recently had 4 Durvalumab infusion treatments. I didn’t experience any concerning side effects, totally different than chemo. Unfortunately, I was just informed last week that it’s not working. Onto something else. Also, regarding the brain surgery, it depends on size & location. I had gamma knife surgery for a cancer cell in my brain, & it wasn’t as bad as the fears I had built up. There were 4 mere puncture points & they didn’t penetrate to the brain.

Fear seems to be a big issue with cancer & all the new & numerous treatments. It’s understandable & I would say we all have it. I try to do some research, but that can be hard to understand it all. I don’t know how some of the people who post about finding all the clinical trials & the best treatments for themselves, find the energy & focus to do that much though. I envy & applaud them. Hope it goes well.

Thank you, kgbsawyr. I’m sorry your immunotherapy didn’t work. I’m still not convinced to go through that. I’m back in the hospital with unbearable pain due to a bunch of ulcers caused from the radiation. They always want to send you home with a bandaid and I’m not accepting that this time.
I wish and pray all goes better for you.
