Antihistamines for improving breast cancer survival
I was checking if its ok to take an antihistamine with AIs and low and behold, stumbled upon quite a few studies showing that BC survivors who take antihistamines long term have shown to have significantly better survival rates. I found this very interesting - has anyone else heard this? I'm considering asking my onco about it.

Hi! @kimogi57:
I am so sorry for your suffering from various issues fighting the disease of BC through the years:(
The intention of my previous post was simply raising the caution for our fellow sufferers of BC on the potential correlation between long term usage of antihistamines and dementia, because I worry that due to the side effects caused by taking AI medications, some folks might consider regularly taking antihistamines instead. However, I am truly only of limited medical knowledge that I strongly suggest you to check with your physicians first on all the medications that you take - especially for the long term usages. In my mind, most medications have their side effects, we simply need to balance the pros and cons on each and every one. If your doctor has prescribed certain specific medication for you, please remember that your doctor has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Please bring up your side effects of taking Exemestane & Anastrozole to your doctors' attention, perhaps he/she may prescribe a different one for you.
Best wishes to you all for better health, love, contentment and happiness on the journey ahead!
