My daughter is slowly dying
I m at a loss here. I’m writing about my 28 year old daughter, Sherry. She suffers from MS and severe gastroparisis. She is losing weight by the day. She can’t keep anything down. Even liquid is a problem. She throws up everything. She has seen doctors for her MS, for her stomach problems, and all kinds of specialists. She’s had Botox and it made it worse. Now, next is to try a G poem and gastric stimulator implant. But she really need is a feeding tube. But when it comes down to it there is no one willing to do anything for her. Doctor bills are mounting. She has been to Specialist and there isn’t any change. They just seem to be content with her pain and suffering. Sherry was a beautiful, vibrant lady, now is embarrassed and ashamed of how she looks. I’m worried so much about her. I feel everything will shut down soon and I will lose her. Can you recommend anything or anyone that can help. She lives with her husband and her 6 year old autistic son in Michigan. I’m willing to go anywhere for please help. Thanks

I have many gastric diseases. I lost 20 pounds at the start of this journey and got to 92 pounds. I am 5'5 and 92 pounds was bad. Same symptoms as your daughter. I have been on a feeding tube into my small intestine and pump fed for 12 years now. It bypasses my stomach because I will vomit if I try to eat. I also have gastroparesis, malabsorption, chronic pancreatitis and a bunch of other diseases. So I would definitely find a good gastroenterologist and have her put on a J tube into her intestine. Good luck. I know that gastro diseases are a never ending nightmare. Don't give up. Hugs and praying you can get her help. ❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️
May the Lord bless you and keep you!
God is the great Physician of our souls and bodies.
I prayed for your Daughter’s heading. I believe in praying for each decision. I hope she gets better. Take care.
My daughter was like this 20 years ago. She had type 1 diabetes, an autoimmune disorder, as well as an early diagnosis of lupus. First doctor seemed to dismiss the situation as psychological. We finally got help and turned out she had 1) gastritis 2) yeast throughout her upper GI and 3) celiac. Due to all that she gave up gluten (of course) and dairy (was able to get back on that).
I think we had more help from a functional medicine doctor to be honest.
None of this may be relevant but sharing our experience!
Functional medicine is what helped me tremendously - found I had SIBO, a fungal infection, a yeast infection. And was treated for all three.
My gut issues were always treated with a PPI. Three endoscopys over 5 years and my GGI finally said don’t take a PPI again.
Thankful I found functional medicine!
My heart goes out to you and your daughter. I had gastroparesis and SIBO. It was a tough and very scary road. I became very ill when it came down to living off of three foods for years. You're daughter is blessed to have you helping her.
I must be honest in that I tried every doctor I could in my area. I also tried online appointments with Mayo and other well known hospitals. I cut out all sugar unless I absolutely had to have it. I leaned on pureed chicken for meals. When I could not do that I drank my protein via hemp powder or Boost. For energy I took 1 tspn of peanut butter, coconut or olive oil. I researched when my energy allowed me to. I kept a journal of symptoms and reactions to anything I tried to consume and I just kept fighitng. I didn't give up trying a new food. My body would fight me but I kept trying.
Can your daughter take supplements? I took digestive enzymes and looked into healing my gut. I drank bone broths through the day if I could. I also did breathing exercises to help my gut rest and relax so it would digest after meals. I did this three times a day and before bed. Does your daughter see a nutritionist? I tried anything my nutritionist suggested and I clung to the Lord with all I had in me.
I eventually got to the point where I could eat more than three pureed foods...then other items in small amounts. As soon as I could I began introducing gut healing items such as IGg in colostrum form and l gluatimine in tiny amounts. Then a good probiotic. I had set backs, but I kept trying.
Don't give up. Get online and see if she can do a televisit with a good doctor from Mayo. Have her try to take nourishing liquids and fats in small amounts (bone broths, etc.). If you aren't already, pray.
To date I pray daily for others out there who are suffering like your daughter is. I will pray for her, too.
