Dealing with ED.

This isn't a comment about penile implants. I just can't do an implant. Anyway, I'm 78 years old and I'm taking testosterone cypionate self-injections in my upper thigh once per week. My blood work data had shown that for at least 4 years my Free-T was very low. I had read medical websites that stated there was clearly a relationship between low Free-T and ED. 3 urologists wanted no part in investigating that for me, so I finally went to an endocrinologist who did the bloodwork for my hormone levels (somewhat close to female levels) then did prescribe the T injections. My Free-T now is in the bottom of the normal range, but not yet into mid-range. My libido has definitely come back (Yay), but three things bother me: 1.) erection rigidity - barely erect enough able to have good intercourse. 2.) My sperm is yellowish and clear (alarming to me). 3.) It takes me a lot longer to get to orgasm despite my good libido. Need oral sex from wife to get to orgasm. I can masturbate to get an orgasm, but it takes a while to get there. Not interested in keeping up that. Any ideas about the yellow and clear sperm?

Where to start: your yellow sperm is "probably" a product of the injection of synthetic meds to increase your Free-T. We have another 78 year old Mayo blogger who also went the route of Free-T investigations. This Libido thing is not tangible ( I am not being argumentative). When you have an implant that allows you to have an election on command your confidence hormone is off the scale. No doubt, getting use to having a mechanism in your body that you were not born with takes some getting use to. All these other avenues you are pursuing will continue to frustrate you. We are in our 70's. Do you really want to take another 2 years mocking around with investigations that will lead you back to the same thing......election issues? You are 78. Get the implant and by the time you are 79 you will be more than use to it. If you need a recommendation of a doctor. I can do that confidently. Unfortunately. I only know one. I had more to say. But in the part of the world I am currently in, my day just started. Go luck on your decision.
