You're welcome. There was an error in my original post: the recommend shoe is the Saucony Omni Walker , not the Brooks Omni Walker. Brooks makes the famous Addiction Walker, as note above.

I will also add that you can get great deals on walking shoes online but in my experience be aware that older models (typically on discount) may have some degradation. The process starts when the shoes are made and over time the materials, support and structure breakdown over time. I would say don't go more than 2 or 3 years back. Last year's models are typically a great buy. Even current models can be found greatly discounted online. Some companies allow you to use the shoe for a period of time, like up to 3 months, and if if it doesn't meet your satisfaction you can get a full refund and and free return shipping!

Running is low risk in all regards but the rewards are priceless. Without walking I would not have enjoyed the very high quality of life that I have experienced over many years.

Thank you for your note. But I think you are mistaken as I replied to @jehjeh.

I know all about running and walking shoes as in my previous life I was a runner but I do appreciate the information you provided. Hopefully, others will read your comments and learn about walking shoes.
