@diane3551

i've been taking Tymlos for one year and after seven months my bones are not healing from having broken lumbar bones. I go back in January a bone density test since I continued the Tymlos for a year to find out if it's working, my doctor probably will switch me to Forteo. every time i inject tymlos my heart pounds for about 20 minutes and the doctor said that's a side effect and not a problem, but it still scares me

@diane3551 what do you mean or expect with "healing" lumbar bones? I have three lumbar fractures and they never "heal." They do stabilize. But the structure of the spine is permanently altered which can result in life long pain unfortunately, at least for me, and I am also unable to lift much. I wonder if you had high expectations that no drug can actually meet!

I have low blood pressure (and an occasional ER visit with afib) so my heart beats fast after both Tymlos and Forteo but for me it was much worse on Froteo. Everyone is different. I had a blood pressure cuff and made sure my blood pressure wasn't too low before injecting. If it was, I hydrated and ate some salty things. Maybe that would help you! Personally I found a side effect that lasts minutes or even a few hours to be easier to handle than some meds with longer lasting effects.
