← Return to Prolia versus Tymlos for osteoporosis: Why choose one over the other?

@broken13

I did 24 months of Forteo 8 years ago and followed up with one shot of Prolia, which did not go well, so then went on Evista for 5 years. Now due to long wait to get approved for Evenity, I have restarted Forteo, generic brand. Just started second month. How are you doing with yours? Any weight gain or upset stomach/headache. Brain fog?

What do you mean that the one shot of Prolia 'did not go well'. Did you have bad side effects?

@broken 13 The endocrinologist I see says that all the Forteo headaches are caused by vasodilation Nausea might be caused by increased serum calcium, or a loss of sense of balance from blood pressure drop.
You might try a having something a little salty before injecting and a glass of water. The salt causes a balancing vasoconstriction and the extra fluid reduces the blood pressure drop.
My blood pressure does drop almost immediately with the injection, but I haven't had any side effect with Forteo. I haven't gained any belly fat. I inject in my right thigh; it still looks exactly like my left thigh. I so like this drug. The dxa after a year wasn't impressive for bmw
and certainly didn't put me in clear, but I may not be taking enough calcium.
Did you have headaches eight years ago.
