Oh no! While you are in the hospital, explain Bill's situation and request a gastroenterologist and/or a colorectal surgeon for the weight loss and a Wound Care Nurse for the management of his ileostomy. I wish you all good things.

I'll see him tomorrow in the Neurological ICU and I'll hopefully see his doctor or nurse and ask that question. Management of his ileostomy is under control as far as appliances, but he has an appointment with the Ostomy clinic where we can address the weight loss. Unfortunately, he is also dealing with cancer but has not started any treatment yet. Overwhelming right? Thanks for all the support given to Bill and I.

Out of the hospital and have a referral for a G.I. doctor. Weight loss is turning around after a B12 shot January 2. Thanks for your support.

Bill saw the GI doctor who gave him some good advice but will not need a follow up appointment. His appetite is back and weight has gone up to 163 from a low of 139. He has monthly cancer injections. Still having some unsteadiness from the stroke and cannot drive. But all in all progress is positive and getting strength back. Thank all you for your support.
