Left shoulder pain after eating or drinking
Has anyone experienced severe left shoulder pain, down the upper arm, up the neck to the ear, approximately 15 mins after eating. This pain usually lasts for three hours after eating a meal.

Get your gallbladder checked out. You probably have gallbladder stones.
Hi,
I know this was a while ago but I have many of these symptoms now. And I also blame PPIs. Did you ever find out what it was?
Thanks.
I finally after years of when I overeat end up with shoulder pan searched on line if this was just me .
I had this same kind of pain when my gallbladder went bad but in the right shoulder. I was told that is called”referred pain” meaning the actual pain comes from something else (my gallbladder). Since it was taken out the pain has lessened but I am still getting it to a lesser level about 30 mins after eating. Now being told it is gastric paresis.
I was diagnosed with gastroparesis- I had that terrible left shoulder pain- still get it. I have just been diagnosed with EPI. I seriously believe COVID did a number on my body causing all these issues.
@jrofri So many possible causes, from serious to not serious. Personally, left shoulder pain was something I experienced in hospital after undergoing HIPEC with cytoreductive surgery. In my case it was trapped wind in my stomach.
I hope you get to the bottom of yours and get peace of mind, as well as relief

I am new to all these terms. Can you please explain what HIPEC is? Thx
@trippster. Essentially hot chemo was poured into my abdomen cavity immediately after extensive surgery in my abdomen to remove all visible tumours and diseased tissue. I have a huge scar from my pubic bone up to between my breasts where I was cut open to do the surgery. My body was rocked for a few hours to swish the chemo around. The whole operation took 12 hours in my case. I was very lucky to qualify for it after 6 months of chemo and immunotherapy.
