Does anyone who follows neuropathy threads recall a thread around here that had a post from a couple of days ago where a man was seeking exercises that might help his wife’s neuropathy? Someone responded with several links that looked promising. I made a mental note to check them out, but didn’t save it, Now, I can’t find it! I think the person who responded was a mod or volunteer. Thank you if you know anything about this.
The compression socks used to ease the pain, but sadly they don't help now. My pain feels as if my feet are on fire. I also take alpha lipoic acid and for a time this did ease the pain, but no longer does.
Hello, my feet also burn especially at bed time. I have found a product over the counter named LivRelief. It is available in various degrees, I use 2 types, Blue for muscle/inflammation issues and Green for extra strength nerve/inflammation issues. The Green I apply to bottom of my feet. There is another product named Voltaren. Hope that may help!
x NO PAIN, BUT USES COMPRESSION STOCKINGS x
I use they’s. I bout the Copper-brand that helps me, from my knee to the bottom-top of my feet. And, thankfully, my wife bought online close to a dozen “compression stockings” (pick the colors you want). It’s not the pain, but the problem on my back-bottom legs & my feet swells up.
Oppps… I forgot… my wife uses a different-way of her compression stocking around from her feet up her knee. That helps her around her legs, helped for less-pain when she works 8am - 4pm
I frequently experience burning pain in my feet during the night. Sometimes it goes all the way up to my knees. Some nights it’s worse than others and actually wakes me up during the night other times I just notice it in the morning when I wake up and it takes a couple of hours to subside. I do not have any noticeable swelling or edema. I decided to try wearing some light compression socks that cover half of my foot and over my calf. Since I’ve been wearing them, I have only had mild pain on two mornings this week. I came here to see if anyone was having similar experiences..
I wear prescription compression hose. My cardiologist and neurologist told me not to sleep in them because you can end up with blood clots. During the day you are up moving around instead of laying still. I have worn compression hose since 2018. It does help my neuropathy during the day.
I've been wearing compression socks in advance of a lot of standing or walking doing a dinner, or going to a lot of events in a row. They definitely help!
My gosh, I tried some tennis like compression socks and they made it so much worse I had to take them off. I don't know the cause of my sensory symptoms but have diagnosed motor nerve disease.
No noticeable benefit.
Sounds familiar with my mental notes not being saved-when you remember, let us know too.
