It will stop in a few days if you re-start the Effexor. My psychiatrist no longer prescribes Effexor or Paxil due to the excruciating and long discontinuation of these drugs.

I am no doctor. Mark Horowitz is a doctor, but was first a patient on antidepressants who was appalled to learn that doctors do not know how to help their patients stop an antidepressant. That is now his goal as a medical professional. Please see his website: https://learn.outro.com/feed
Returning to venlafaxine will make the withdrawal symptoms go away--at least, it did in my case after trying to quit the drug twice. If you do return to venlafaxine, you might be lucky enough to be able to return to a reduced dose, from which it will be easier to withdraw when you are ready to try again. Best wishes to you. There is much to learn on the Outro website. If only our doctors knew!
