They are not uncomfortable. I had one, but it didn't work for me. I had it in for about 3 years. I fell and they could not do a MRI because of the pain stimulator. By the time I found a doctor to take it out it was to late to help me. They found I had 3 compression fractures in the middle back and was told nothing could be done. I am in constant pain. I hope the stimulator works for you!!

I couldn't have one because my spine is too curved but there are manufacturers thst have them thst you can still have an MRI. Sorry. I forget which ones. Talk to your doctor
