Thank you very much! It is and I am having a hard time just wrapping my head around the timeline it has taken. Being fine no issues doing things with them, then the moment she told us it all went down hill fast. I'm just praying she doesn't suffer. All the prayers are welcomed

I’m so sorry to hear of your mom’s decline. I totally understand where you are coming from as 26 years ago my dad was over for Christmas and just as he always was and then I went to visit him shortly after his birthday mid- January and he looked like he had lost 25 pounds. He proceeded very quickly downhill from there as he was misdiagnosed with food poisoning instead of pancreatic/stomach cancer. Even so, when he was finally released from hospital after I got on his dr’s case for not having given him at least a CT, he came to live his final days in our home. It was difficult to see a once very macho, man deteriorate as he did but the last days to be there for someone in their hours of most need is priceless and your mom with you knows that. I also speak from personal experience now as my son is my primary caregiver when I need something from the store or something to eat and I’m feeling too weak after chemo to do that for myself. It’s difficult, but please treasure these moments with your mom as it is the greatest gift you can give her. I’m praying for both of you as you make this difficult part of her journey.
